Closely similar to our 6v and 6.2v Voltage Regulators, our new Adjustable Voltage Regulator is going to be a top runner for Voltage Regulator needs. This unit will allow upwards of 11.1v input from an array of battery technologies, (Ni-Cd, Ni-Mh, Li-Ion and Li-Po). Output Voltage is user adjustable within a range based on the input voltage supplied to the unit. With a 7.4v input, the Voltage range can be set anywhere from 5.2v - 6.5v and with an 11.1v input, you can go upwards of over 8.5v.* The best way to set the Voltage Output is through an already connected Electronic Device (ie... GV-1) that displays Voltage. Otherwise any Volt Meter would work fine.
Each Regulator is pre-wired with male/female leads for the Battery Input, Rx and Gyro / Tail Servo. If you would like to add 16Awg wires and a Deans style T-Plug for Battery input, simply choose "Add 16 Awg Deans" from the options list above when ordering.
The onboard switch is designed not to fail during flight. If a short or overload occurs while the Regulator is in the on position, the Regulator will remain in the on position.
Also built into the Regulator is a 5v relay for use with Gyro / Tail Servos that are suggested to use an input of 4.8v - 5.1v.
The Unique design of the Heatsink with ULTRA-THIN Fins allows for super fast dissipation of heat and makes Installation a breeze due to not needing air-flow over the Heatsink.
